pgriffith 88 Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 Camera uploads have been working fine on my server for years. I recently just got a new phone, and this phone will not upload photos (Android 3.2.82, Server 4.7.9.0) I have ticked/unticked/ticked my Emby Server in Android (in camera upload) Selected other folders in addition to the camera folder I have restarted the Server many times I have done many library rescans I found an older post where this was suggested by Luke for another user. This didn't help. In the server log I see the following entries 2022-11-23 01:31:20.196 Info LibraryMonitor: Watching directory \\nas\RAID5\Media\Camera Uploads 2022-11-23 01:31:20.197 Info LibraryMonitor: Watching directory \\NAS\RAID5\Media\Movies 2022-11-23 01:31:20.197 Info LibraryMonitor: Watching directory \\nas\raid5\Media\Music 2022-11-23 01:31:20.197 Info LibraryMonitor: Skipping realtime monitor for C:\Users\Griff\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\data\camerauploads because the path is currently not available 2022-11-23 01:31:20.197 Info LibraryMonitor: Watching directory C:\Users\Griff\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\data\camerauploads It's looking for a MediaBrowser-Server path ?? How can I delete this? And 022-11-23 01:52:24.272 Error Server: Error processing request *** Error Report *** Version: 4.7.9.0 Command line: C:\Users\Griff\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\EmbyServer.dll Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10.0.22621 Framework: .NET 6.0.10 OS/Process: x64/x64 Runtime: C:/Users/Griff/AppData/Roaming/Emby-Server/system/System.Private.CoreLib.dll Processor count: 24 Data path: C:\Users\Griff\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata Application path: C:\Users\Griff\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system System.NullReferenceException: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Emby.Server.Implementations.Devices.DeviceManager.GetCameraUploadHistory(Int64 deviceId) at Emby.Api.Devices.DeviceService.Get(GetCameraUploads request) at Emby.Server.Implementations.Services.ServiceController.Execute(HttpListenerHost appHost, Object requestDto, IRequest req) at Emby.Server.Implementations.Services.ServiceHandler.ProcessRequestAsync(HttpListenerHost appHost, IRequest httpReq, IResponse httpRes, RestPath restPath, String responseContentType, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at Emby.Server.Implementations.HttpServer.HttpListenerHost.RequestHandler(IRequest httpReq, ReadOnlyMemory`1 urlString, ReadOnlyMemory`1 localPath, CancellationToken cancellationToken) Source: Emby.Server.Implementations TargetSite: MediaBrowser.Model.Devices.ContentUploadHistory GetCameraUploadHistory(Int64) So clearly the change in phone has thrown a spanner somewhere in the works. Any idea how to rectify? Cheers
Luke 42080 Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 Hi @pgriffith are you still having an issue with this?
pgriffith 88 Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 I am, it still won't upload anything.
Luke 42080 Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Hi, are you still having problems uploading?
pgriffith 88 Posted February 16, 2023 Author Posted February 16, 2023 (edited) Sorry, I missed your message. Yes, I still can't get it to work. Tried different folders on my phone that have images in them, have unchecked upload only on WiFi, still a no go. Currently on ver 3.2.92 of the android app on Android 12 Also, the Emby app has been allowed to run in the background with no restrictions, and also no restrictions on background battery usage. The latest server log is attached, there are a few errors regarding ... GetCameraUploadHistory embyserver (1).txt Edited February 16, 2023 by pgriffith Add log file
Luke 42080 Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 Can you try uninstalling and then reinstalling the app?
pgriffith 88 Posted February 20, 2023 Author Posted February 20, 2023 Hi Luke I must apologize, looks like it was my fault all along. I have my systems locked down pretty hard with Windows Firewall (managed with an app called Windows Firewall Control... awesome, highly recommend it). My Firewall incoming rules were set to Public network, not Private. I change from public to private some months ago and that probably was pretty close to when I changed phones, so the assumption was the phone being the culprit, not my network. Disabled my firewall and photos started streaming in, then I checked my rules. Feel like a bit of a dickhead now 2
