Playback stops pretty much at the exact time, about 30 seconds into playback of the movie. I have attached the ffmpeg and emby logs, any help would be appreciated. Luke 42083 Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 Recovering from playback error. So that means it tried to direct play, but the Chrome video player reported a problem with the file and so the Emby app automatically switched to transcoding to ensure successful playback.

But why is that happening every time I play?
Luke 42083 Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 There's something about the files that the browser doesn't like. I wish i could provide more detail but it doesn't give us any reasons. Have you tried MS Edge for comparison purposes?

Edge from the same computer.. same failure Emby Windows Store App - Works fine (same machine as edge and chrome) Android app works fine (both from a android TV and a phone) Under edge and chrome, its transcoding audio and video. Under the Windows store app (transcode auto not video) On my phone (Samsung S22 Ultra) no transcoding is going on. It looks like the problem is with the video transcoding.
