There is no such thing as default/preferred when it comes to multi-version as the client pick the best playable version. But normally you would just have all additional audio tracks in one file. Not sure if Playback Audio settings are honored for multi-version. @Luke

Hi, I wouldn't rule anything out, but there's already a number of factors that go into it, such as the quality setting, compatibility, etc. So it would just be a matter of where audio fits within that because I don't think it can be considered more important than those other two.
Arby 7 Posted December 9, 2022 Author Posted December 9, 2022 (edited) Are you serious? The audio language is per default the main selection criteria just before any other like compatibility or resolution. If I'd prefer an english HD version over a german 576p I could change that manually, anyway. Nevertheless... I, again, helped myself with a workaround and splitted the versions, made 2 shows out of one (one "german" and one "original"), so I don't have to check every new episode if Emby chose the right language. (Muxing the audio into one file was no option due to "incompatible" video stream durations.) Edited December 9, 2022 by Arby

Right I understand, but our settings are currently based on language, not avoiding transcoding, so we'd have to expand on them.
