music album images don't show on folder

@Luke, I thought you meant images in the file.  I know I did not assign images on any of the tracks.

So, to move forward, the only thing I can do is use Edit Image on the folder object in the library and manually add an image?  Is this correct?

He's just trying to help. In this case you're right, a log file is not needed because this is about something that happened in the past. 

He's right about your previous settings though. That's why you did not get images saved into album and artist folders.

Or add some folder.jpg's to existing folders. Or now that you've enabled the option, you can also what the library options dialog says at the top.

What option did I enable?  Can you interpret the rest for me - I don't understand.

That is a misrepresentation of the situation.  He only acknowledged that Emby did what it is configured for, which unfortunately did not help in this case.  Sure, I did not tell Emby to save the image files, but that doesn't explain what is happening.  AND, Emby must not need the files to work if there is even an option for it.

I assumed that you enabled saving images to media folders based on his advice. if you didn't then nevermind.

I've given you all the ways a folder will show an image. I think we're starting to go in circles at this point, but if you do want images, then you need to choose from the options given.

I did not, since it is not required for this functionality to work.  Even if I did, all the files wouldn't magically appear in the folders.  I'd have to do what to get them?

I'll have to manually add images.  And they will not be stored in the folder (because Emby will not put it there), and yet it will work (I think contrary to what you have told me. still not sure).

Right, there are other ways to get images for album folders, but this is the easiest way and will require the least amount of manual work.
