Catmaster2025 0 Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 Emby is not showing up in the menu bar anymore after the latest update on my imac running on M1 chip
Luke 42077 Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 Hi, the nav bar hasn't been added to the Arm64 version yet, but it's on our to do list. If this is important to you, you can always use the x64 version in the meantime. 1
DJMonty 1 Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 I was just about to bring up the same issue - and find this answer . Hope it's added soon. 1
macv 2 Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 would be cool if we could follow a github/youtrack issue or something
JeremyBohn 4 Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Surprised this still hasn't been done. Is it that hard to implement the menu bar icon with Apple Silicon? 1

We'll try to get to that soon. Thanks. 1
mjac28 1 Posted March 8, 2025 Posted March 8, 2025 Any word on that icon? I just got a M1 Mac love my Emby got premier just so I could support it.

Luke 42077 Posted September 26, 2025 Posted September 26, 2025 Hi, the tray icon has been added for arm64 as part of the upcoming 4.9 server release. Thanks !
JeremyBohn 4 Posted October 18, 2025 Posted October 18, 2025 Just came here because I noticed the icon in the menubar when running the Apple Silicon app. Thanks for doing that. Nice to have one of the remaining non-native apps finally taken care of. Next on the wish list: a properly certified app so I don't have to jump through security hoops to get macOS to run it, and a proper icon that doesn't look pixelated (and native for the new Tahoe icon requirements). 1
