Emby is not showing up in the menu bar anymore after the latest update on my imac running on M1 chip

Hi, the nav bar hasn't been added to the Arm64 version yet, but it's on our to do list. If this is important to you, you can always use the x64 version in the meantime.

I was just about to bring up the same issue - and find this answer :). Hope it's added soon.

Surprised this still hasn't been done. Is it that hard to implement the menu bar icon with Apple Silicon?

Hi, it's not that it's overly difficult, it's just that we have to build a new one, so this hasn't been done yet. We'll try to get to that soon. Thanks.

Soon. The most imprecise word in the English language.

Every time there is an update I install the ARM version hoping the menu item is back. And it's not :(

Hi, the tray icon has been added for arm64 as part of the upcoming 4.9 server release. Thanks !

Just came here because I noticed the icon in the menubar when running the Apple Silicon app. Thanks for doing that. Nice to have one of the remaining non-native apps finally taken care of.

Next on the wish list: a properly certified app so I don't have to jump through security hoops to get macOS to run it, and a proper icon that doesn't look pixelated (and native for the new Tahoe icon requirements).

  • Thanks 1
