bigverm23 2 Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 OS: Ubuntu Server Emby version: docker 4.7.9 metadata is a mes...either it's not completing when media is added or it's just not updating properly for some odd reason. Testing on a local user account with restrictions to TV-Y and all kinds of content that shouldnt be showing, is showing such as Fast and Furious, Ghost Stories, etc....how do I resolve this?
Luke 42078 Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Hi there, can you please provide a specific example? How to Report a Problem Thanks.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 (edited) Will need specifics, what is missing? Also need sever log for a specific example to possibly see why information is missing. What are you user controls settings? It should fall back to other providers but TVDB does not have a US content rating for Fast and Furious. Personally would make TMDB first provider. Happy2Play 9780 Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 So it sounds like you need to enable all "Block items with no or unrecognized rating information:"

Actually, to clarify, I added an entire media folder and quite a few movies are in her profile which shouldnt be, if based on rating. Edited November 14, 2022 by bigverm23
Happy2Play 9780 Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 But M/16 would be a unknown rating as that format is not recognized. I my understanding and would question where it came from.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 (edited) @Lukehow are you parsing TVDB Content Ratings? "contentRatings": [{ "id": 460, "name": "M/16", "country": "prt", "description": "Suitable for viewers aged 16 and older", "contentType": "movie", "order": 0, "fullname": "M/16" } Have not looked at the json to see how it appears on their site. But personally don't believe TVDB should ever be first provider. Edited November 14, 2022 by Happy2Play

Refreshing metadata on the library now.

Luke 42078 Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 If you fix the rating of the series manually, does that resolve your issue?

Testing my theory was correct as the listed TVDB "M/16" Portugal rating is unknown and requires "Block items with no or unrecognized rating information:" enabled on content type.
