Emby Theater changed / Auto display

Just wondering if Theater has changed at all. Haven't opened for a week and the Home page doesn't have the random item at the top and if I go to settings it looks the same as server settings.

D'you think its defaulted back to Auto from whatever it was before, or something else.

Also can't spot the setting to show the random item on the Home page.

Actually, now I click on the silhouette icon, it says Emby for Windows 1.1.458.0.

Don't know how I managed that.

Should it say that or should it just say Emby Theater 3.0.16 ?

1.1.458 is the Windows Store version of Emby - installed from the store. 

3.0.16 is the Windows Desktop version of Emby - installed by downloading and running the installer (it also shows twice on the task bar - once as "Electron").

They are completely different programs.  In my experience, the Store program is far less capable (less direct play, more transcoding), but rather more reliable (e.g. the Desktop program sometimes opens with a blank screen and has to be killed and restarted).

I was kind of wondering that, but I click on my Windows icon thats called Emby Theater and go to its description in the app and its 'Emby for Windows 1.1.458.0', hence the problem.

I guess I can, and probably will, re-download Theater from the website, but was wondering if anyone might know how / why it happened - bug in the updating procedure thingy, for example.

@arrbee99 Do you have both installed?  As the each have their own shortcut.

But one comes from app store and the other from website.

Sigh. Yes I (apparently) do. Thanks. Lucky its so easy to tell them apart...

Guess thats solves that one then.
