When you Click on Identify, you can provide Emby with the Title of that movie, or if you REALLY want to be precise, you can provide the IMDb ID, or even IDs from TheMovieDB etc... here's a screenshot: In YOUR specific case, the IMDB ID for "On The Line (2022)" is "tt14824590". You can easily find the IMDB ID of any movie, by going to the movie's page on IMDB, and looking at the link on your browser. Example given: EDIT: Friendly Reminder ! (with respect) This post is on the wrong section. This isn't a Feature Request ! Edited November 6, 2022 by bonaminGR
ryzen5000 17 Posted November 6, 2022 Author Posted November 6, 2022 Thanks, I then came into the question is it 2021 or 2022? Because I changed the file name to On The Line (2021) and then it was correctly identified by Emby however it shows 2022 in IMDb. In fact On the line 2021 comes up when I use the correct IMDb.
pwhodges 2012 Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 The date may sometimes vary according to the country of first showing. Paul
ryzen5000 17 Posted November 6, 2022 Author Posted November 6, 2022 (edited) IMDb shows it's 2022 but Emby still shows 2021. There is another movie from another country thats On The Line 2021. The ratings are off a bit to. Edited November 6, 2022 by ryzen5000
Happy2Play 9783 Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 We do not use IMDB at all but we to use their ids to query TMDB, TVDB, or OMDB. So the question would be what is your library metadata provider order and what ones are enabled? TVDB TMDB
ryzen5000 17 Posted November 7, 2022 Author Posted November 7, 2022 I have the following plugins enabled: TVDB, OMDB, MovieDb. So I will try by disabling the TV DB for movies section and see if it corrects. It is a discrepency between TVDB and IMdB or MovieDb
ryzen5000 17 Posted November 7, 2022 Author Posted November 7, 2022 (edited) Ok I found the solution. I disabled TVDB for movies and I have checked just Open MovieDB and Movie DB now and its showing as 2022. S I think TVDB is wrong and this is a 2022 movie so I won't use TVDB anymore for movie metadata. Edited November 7, 2022 by ryzen5000

ryzen5000 17 Posted November 7, 2022 Author Posted November 7, 2022 Oh, I didn't know that I could select the order. Got it 3rd now. 1
bonaminGR 21 Posted November 8, 2022 Posted November 8, 2022 If you manually download your films, then probably what I'm about to say, won't cut it for you. But if you are able to use services like "Radarr" then your life will become much easier. On Radarr, I have set my Movie Name + Movie Folder renaming settings as such, so that Emby really understands exactly which movie it is. Example given:
ryzen5000 17 Posted November 9, 2022 Author Posted November 9, 2022 (edited) I am using all the services I can think of. If there are anymore please tell me and I will order them. I am actually looking for a program that will properly put away and import my tv series into their respective folders but Medusa doesn't work properly all the time and Sonarr always gets the series name wrong on every one just during imports. If you look at the names of the series on the RH side during an import you will see. Every single one is wrong. 1. TrackTV https://trakt.tv/ $40 USD Year. This helps me chose which movies to grab, it connects automatically with Sonarr and Radarr to auto download from trending and popular lists. Right now I have it set to grab all the 2022 movies that come out and I leave radarr running 24/7 and I always find new movies in my download folder every morning. It makes less work for me because I do manually browse but I spend less time looking for and more time watching. 2. Radarr 3. Sonarr 4. Newsgroup Direct https://newsgroupdirect.com/ If you ask them they will send you their promotional page I paid $30 year unlimited 5. Eweka On a hidden promotional page https://www.eweka.nl/en/landing/special-usenet-deal for $2.99 month 5. Emby $178 6. Sabnzbd 185MB/s down. 7. Unraid 6.11.3 https://officerat.store/product/lime-technology-unraid-os-pro-6-10-3-server-os-software/ $25 subscription with lifetime updates. 8. Trash Guides https://trash-guides.info/ This helped me set custom formats and lists so I don't need to manually chose which movie file to download that has the best quality. It looks like the following when its all set up. 9. NZB GEEK https://nzbgeek.info/ $16 year Unlimited Edited November 9, 2022 by ryzen5000
Luke 42081 Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 @Happy2Play is there an issue here that you think needs looking into?
