How to sync film and TV show 'played' state between two emby servers?

I am migrating my Emby setup from a server on one platform (macOS) to one on a different platform (Synology NAS). I have configured both servers (almost) identically and they are both pointing at the exact same set of physical media folders and files. Everything is working great.

The last thing I need to do is to sync the 'played' state of the film and TV media from one server to the other (doing it manually would take a very long tiem and be incredibly tedious). Is there any way that I can achieve this? I tried connecting both Emby servers to the same Trakt account but that really did not work well and not did not achieve the desired result  

Is there some other way to do this? I only need to do it once, and only for one user, as then the migration will be complete.

Use Server Configuration Backup Plugin and sync playstates and rest.
