Transcoding folder filling up

Recommended Posts

My transcoding folder seems to fill up all the time, I'm using a 140GB SSD and sometimes one file is over 100GB.

And when it fills up emby runs really bad.

I made a powershell script to clear the folder every 4th hour and that kinda works.

But for instance the 100GB file was not deleted, and I guess that is properly a tuner still stuck open, what can be done to fix this short of just restarting emby every morning or something like that?

Hi there, can you please attach the emby server log from when this happened? Thanks.

It is possible to remove all IP's, usernames etc from the log?

Emby Server 4.7+ already anonymizes the log if you download it using the web interface.

Using 4.7.8.0 and anonymize log is on, but if I download the log then usernames, ip etc is still present.

Can you please provide an example?

So updating to 4.7.9.0 solved the problem, now everything is removed.

Edit so updating to 4.7.9.0 did not solve anything with the log file, nothing is anonymized.

Btw just double checked the log file and I had search set to up and that was why i thought everything was ok.

But as you can see in the log file usernames etc is still present.

Also was android tv the only client playing during this time? From what i can tell I don't think this was a tuner left open because the android tv app is still streaming data.

Is it possible that you just ran out of disk space due to the combination of streaming channels and recording at the same time?

Line 7653

No recording is to a different harddrive.

and I dont stream anything for so long that it would make 100gb transcoding file
