godfuture 5 Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Hello, I am using my Logitech media keys quite often (volume wheel, next, play, pause, mute), but I noticed that both windows and the web player react on usage. As a consequence the mute key mutes the windows device as well the player. If you reduce the volume, the windows system volume is being reduced but also the web player. If you want to go back to normal, you additionally have to increase the volume slider by mouse or unmute the web player on mute button. Is there a way to make emby web player ignore the media keys? Thanks

In latest version (4.8.10.0) I noticed using my media wheel does not change the volume control in web media player. Thanks a lot! So much better handling now 1
godfuture 5 Posted June 14, 2025 Author Posted June 14, 2025 Hi @Luke just installed Emby for Windows (due to licence issues with HEVC in browser). I have found the setting to ignore media keys in video player (nice that this was added here as well). I dont know if there was a plan to add also audio player section in options as well, but playing music the media keys still control emby volume control. Could this be changed as well? As said, I dont know if you planned to have audio player settings or if audio player should consider settings from video player. Many thanks
Luke 42078 Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 HI, yes more options for this are certainly possible. Thanks.
