Downloading subtitles on multi-version movies bug

Device: Shield TV Pro 2019 running Emby for Android TV(latest update from play store)

Problem: When I have multiple versions of a movie, downloading subtitles adds the subtitle for the wrong version.
In this case I have selected the version "UHD HDR" in the drop down list and downloaded a subtitle.
After doing so the subtitle is downloaded and added to another version of the movie called "HD".
Server log attached where it can be seen it is saving to the "HD" version.

HD version name: D:\Emby\HD\Movies\ticket to paradise (2022)\ticket to paradise (2022) - HD.mkv

UHD HDR version name: D:\Emby\HD\Movies\ticket to paradise (2022)\ticket to paradise (2022) - UHD HDR.mkv

Selecting the HD version and downloading subtitle does download to the correct HD version and I've not been able to download any subtitle to the "UHD HDR" version in this case.

Downloading the subtitle on the regular Android app on my phone works without issue.

Hi.  Can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares?

Thanks.

Hi Luke,

It works fine on that app, subtitle is added to the correct version.

Thanks

That app is rather sluggish compared to the TV one so I'll keep using that one and download subs using my phone in the rare cases I need to I think. Just thought I'd share the bug.

Thanks

Where exactly do you think it's sluggish?

Have to agree here, I run both apps on a firestick 4K, the navigation on the androidtv version is fast, but very slow for the android app also when opening any video at the first 5 seconds I get a slowdown (choppy framerate), this never happens on the androidtv version.

It feels more sluggish when navigating and loading pages to me. Had no issue playing a movie.

Some examples, though I haven't tried it that much.

  1. Starting the app. TV app loads in ~1 second. Regular one ~2-4 seconds.
  2. Loading a movie/show, assets flicker a bit and seems a bit slower to load on regular app.
  3. Just moving around between items on the home page is slower on the regular app, probably not by a great amount but it's noticeable.

Between movies/shows in a section.

The animation speed seems slower though I couldn't measure this by hand.

That would be great, thanks.

Tried it out now.

I'd say point 1 and 2 remain the same while point 3 is now as quick as the TV version.

Regarding point 2, it always goes to a gray background for ~0.5-1s before the show/tv background is loaded. Sometimes the show background blinks a bit as well but most often it's just slow to load.

OK we'll take a look at those. Thanks for reporting.
