Eldontyrellcorp 7 Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 This has been asked before, but wondering if there is a way yet to block/hide the ratings data from TMDB, TVDB, etc - on Emby Synology app, and the Android app?
Luke 42078 Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Hi, no, you'd have to just remove the values from the metadata of your items.

Thanks for the reply. Is there an app that allows bulk edit of the database file with a search and replace function? I tried a few text editors with the 'library.db' file, but half the text is gibberish.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 Any database viewer but will repopulate if library is ever refreshed . If write nfo files then any text editor. Something like this in DB editor UPDATE MediaItems SET CommunityRating = NULL -- your new default value WHERE CommunityRating IS NOT NULL UPDATE MediaItems SET CriticRating = NULL -- your new default value WHERE CriticRating IS NOT NULL But all new items will still get from providers. Note always ensure you have a working backup of your db's if you are going to manually update them. 1
Eldontyrellcorp 7 Posted October 30, 2022 Author Posted October 30, 2022 Sounds promising! I'm not familiar with database editors. Can you recommend which one? And in which part of the library.db file would you paste this code? No, I don't use .nfo files in my library.
Solution Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 30, 2022 Solution Posted October 30, 2022 I use this one. DB Browser for SQLite (sqlitebrowser.org) Or there is the Emby Tagging tool and you can bulk edit Community rating and set to 0. But looks like you will have to ask the dev to add Critic Rating if you need that changed also. 1

Vic Fantastic tool - thankyou. This worked perfectly. I don't have any Critic Ratings data to erase - just Community Ratings. 1
