Ratatouille 14 Posted September 10, 2025 Posted September 10, 2025 (edited) How long do we have to wait for it since AV1 is not brand new almost 7 years old? Plex and Jellyfin are currently supporting it ! Edited September 10, 2025 by Ratatouille
tanimu 1 Posted September 12, 2025 Posted September 12, 2025 Any update on supporting the new intel arc B580 gpus, I wasted 5 hours yesterday trying to get my new Intel Arc B580 working for hardware transcoding, only to discover it's not supported. The GPU is detected but hardware acceleration fails during VAAPI initialization.  The Issue: Emby uses intel-media-driver 24.1.5, but Arc B-Series support wasn't added until 24.3.4+. Request: Please update to intel-media-driver 24.3.4+ in the next release to support these GPUs.  This is frustrating because:  Jellyfin already supports these GPUs perfectly and I specifically bought this for my Emby server.  Is the emby server not being supported anymore? 1

An Intel driver update for Intel is planned.
tanimu 1 Posted December 19, 2025 Posted December 19, 2025 It looks like the latest beta version 4.9.4.1 supports Battlemage G21 Arc B580 GPU. Are there any details on all the supported GPU's?Â

Weâll be getting this out in a stable release update any day now. Thanks. 1
