Latest movies don't sort Last added

Hello, @Luke from few weeks I see nothing new appear in last added movies. Solution above don't work for me because I have that option checked all the time. When I go to Metadata editor I see last movies has wrong added date.

I have the same issue as in the title of that treat. After last server upgrade ( I think) new added movies are not showing as last added in Emby. When I go to Library setting and choose advenced, ther're options to choose: `use date added to library` or ` use date file was make`. In my case that first option was always checked and everything works fine.

This movie was added to my Emby yesterday and date was from january. I manually change that date to 27.10.2022.

Where did that value come from? Emby Server doesn't make it up. I understand you're looking to us for answers, but the answer is in your server settings, nfo file, file timestamps, etc.

What is the file creation date?

What is your "Date added behavior for new content:"? Settings-Library, Advanced tab

I don't know. Never think about that dates because it works fine.

I don't know what date file was created. I think that was date wnen copied to library folder?
I have in Settings>Library>Advenced that entry: 
It means Use date added to library

OK, I remove Emby XML plugin and now works as it should.

Are you saying you had xml metadata with a different dateadded field?

Yes, I have wrong added date for new movies when Emby XML plugin installed.

But Emby only reads xml it does not write or create them.  So I would ask what created the xml and what is dateadd in that xml?

Meybe that xml file was added with mkv file and Emby plugin read that date. I don't know.

Can you provide the content of said xml?  But yes files that are not made by Emby could have information that could wrongly be used.  But have never seen a file come this a xml.

I check now XML file and have wrong date. Wrong for me of course because that date was there before I add it to Emby.

But whatever is creating this xml is providing limited/basic information.

Yes, it shows in Emby as date added and it shows me movie somewhere in my library not as last added.

True as I would assume you have media with newer date added, but it would be there just furth down the list.

Just like I actually use Release date as date added so newly added will always have a date several months old.
