paulschofield 6 Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Hi, A while back I used to have artwork, video preview thumbnails etc. all saved in my media folders. I changed my mind about this so turned off the relevant options and deleted the files. Since then, I've been having problems with one TV show. The artwork for all the individual season is French. I don't have problems with any other shows, my language is set to English and my country is UK. I tried rescanning the library, manually identifying the show, and refreshing metadata. Nothing works. Can anyone suggest anything else please?
Luke 42081 Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Hi there, can you please provide a specific example? How to Report a Problem Thanks.
Happy2Play 9782 Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Yes, a specific example along with library image provider orders please.
paulschofield 6 Posted October 24, 2022 Author Posted October 24, 2022 It was The Simpsons but I've got it sorted now by manually replacing the season images. I checked the show ID numbers for IMDB and the others and they were correct. Library image provider settings were left at the default settings in the default order. But when I was searching the images the French one was always the first to come up (it was on TVDB I believe) so that would be why. But it's ok now. Thanks to both of you for responding
Happy2Play 9782 Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 (edited) Yes this is a language issue on TVDB for those specific images that have the highest priority in Emby. They are tagged English. Artwork - TheTVDB.com Artwork - TheTVDB.com Edited October 24, 2022 by Happy2Play
Happy2Play 9782 Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Someone would need to open a ticket on TVDB to correct the image language tag as I don't see a way to edit them.

Happy2Play 9782 Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Unfortunately there is nothing Emby can do and users have to make requests for provider to fix their images. I have submitted a ticket to TVDB to correct the wrongly labeled French images as English for Seasons 1-30.
Luke 42081 Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Well, I suppose we could stop downloading season folders and just display the series poster over and over
Happy2Play 9782 Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 (edited) 3 minutes ago, Luke said: Well, I suppose we could stop downloading season folders and just display the series poster over and over No but what is the logic for this Unrated image list? I guess resolution. Edited October 25, 2022 by Happy2Play
Luke 42081 Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 The sorting priority is language, configured provider order, rating, resolution, vote count. For all of those images, all data is the same except for the resolution, so essentially that becomes the sort order.
