Series next episode auto starts even though setting is off

I'm running emby server 4.7.8.0 and suddenly it starts auto playing next episodes when an episode has finished.

But as you can see in the attachment, I have this features toggled off, so no idea what happened.

Anything I can try to fix this? Because adjusting it has no effect.

Hi.  Is it actually playing the next one or just presenting you with the information about the next one and it only plays if you hit the button?

I'm using an AppleTV to play my series.

And just use the play feature with the emby app.

Hi.  Exactly where and how?  What screen are you on and what button did you press?

I think that if you press Play on a Series screen, it plays the series - i.e. all episodes (starting from where you've reached).  At least, that's my understanding of the logic - whether it's by design or not.

I will do some tests… because I have been using Emby for years now on my Apple TV and it is an automatic flow so I can’t remember what I pressed.

But still weird that after years I now would be doing something different…

Will get back on this.

Hi.  I think the Apple TV app needs an update to correct this.

So I open the Emby app and select an episode that is listed in the Continue Watching section.

On the episode details I press play.

Effect: when the episode is done, it automatically continues with the next episode of the series.

I would rather have it stop playing and not continue ( hence why I untoggled the option on the Emby server ).

Lg app doing it too. It's highly annoying and didn't used to if you had that option disabled for playing next episode.

Can you show us exactly what button you pressed to start playback?

just pressing the play button on an episode??? Not playing at the series/season level.

Some clients like web and Android classic now give this at the dn of an episode insteda of going back to the details screen:

That is not the same thing that was reported here and you said "LG app is doing it too"...

The above is an issue specific to the Apple TV app that needs to be addressed.
