tattered_mind 0 Posted October 22, 2022 Posted October 22, 2022 Version 4.7.8.0 on Windows. Version 4.7.8.0 on FreeBSD (TrueNAS) In both versions tested as such: Scheduled to record over the air ATSC 3.0 show, store in own "recording" library. All other Videos in library marked as played. Results in a HEVC-AC4.ts video file (records ~4Mbps) want H264-AAC.mkv (~8Mpbs) have a single conversion task scheduled for "recording" library and set up as such: Original media folder, next to original files Custom MKV h264 aac 8 Mbps (original quality equates to near double file size, while ~8 Mpbs results in about the same file size) Download unplayed videos only Automatically download new content (if either one or none of these are not checked then automatic conversion tasks are not done) When a show completes, media is scanned, conversion task begins when scheduled. Converted file HEVC-AC4 - custom.mkv is placed next to original HEVC-AC4.ts Another media scan task is run Another conversion task is run converting the HEVC-AC4 - custom.mkv into HEVC-AC4 - custom - custom.mkv Repeat ad infinitum I don't know why the conversion task continues... I would assume that the conversion task checks the properties, container, v codec, a codec and bitrate. If any of those do not match or higher bitrate, then a conversion task is run. If they all match or are less than or equal to desired bitrate then nothing is done. order of logs embyserver.txt for all directly after a server restart. ffmpeg...e437 ->ts to -custom.mkv ffmpeg...ab79 -> -custom.mkv to -custom-custom.mkv ffmpeg...3003 -> -custom-custom.mkv to -custom-custom-custom.mkv ffmpeg...a999 -> -custom-custom-custom.mkv to -custom-custom-custom-custom.mkv embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-e437e2c1-5dcb-4efb-abf8-7dcf62c092d3_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-ab79e09c-162d-4c0a-8add-6a2a4858db4c_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-3003c715-14c7-4144-a147-8ba4bd4bb082_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-a999f7a4-2530-4d5d-afbd-cb240477163b_1.txt
