CatalinTwist3R 0 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Hello guys! I can't install Media Browser Server. I uninstalled it yesterday and now I can't install it back again. When I run the "setup.exe" file downloaded from the site, i get the following error: "An error occurred attempting to install MediaBrowser.Server.Installer. An error occurred trying to download 'http://www.mb3admin.com/downloads/release/server/MediaBrowser.Server.Installer.application'.See the setup log file located at 'C:\Users\PETREI~1\AppData\Local\Temp\VSD4401.tmp\install.log' for more information. ebr 16184 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 This one looks like maybe just a network connectivity issue but have you tried: Cannot Install Server or MBT/MBC ?
CatalinTwist3R 0 Posted October 9, 2014 Author Posted October 9, 2014 This one looks like maybe just a network connectivity issue but have you tried: Cannot Install Server or MBT/MBC ? I tried that and still not working. It is not a network connectivity issue because i have another PC connected to the same router and MB server is installing and working just fine. I forgot to mention that i have had MB server installed before, until yesterday. When i installed it back then it was fine, but now i cant understand why is not working.
CatalinTwist3R 0 Posted October 9, 2014 Author Posted October 9, 2014 Anti-virus software..? I'm using avast. I disabled all Avast shields but still not working
CatalinTwist3R 0 Posted October 9, 2014 Author Posted October 9, 2014 And when i acces the download page with Internet Explorer i get this error: Error 1010 Ray ID: 176bd1ed8d940f3f Access denied What happened? The owner of this website (mb3admin.com) has banned your access based on your browser's signature (176bd1ed8d940f3f-ua98).
ebr 16184 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I don't think it is us doing the blocking. Any other proxy or security interference involved? Are you on a corporate network?

stluciangirly 0 Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 I'm having the same issue- how do I fix it if it's a network issue? Thanks!
plazma 13 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Question what type of internet do you have, adsl, cable, fttc etc? Ive seen similar things happen when routers had a miss configured mtu setting, although I once saw a server that had a bad mtu setting. The machine that wont download, are you using wireless or hard wired?
screwattackthis 5 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Sorry for digging up an old thread. This is the first Google result for the problem so I thought I should add my solution in case people in the future come across it. This is what worked for me on Windows Server 2012 R2 Disable IE Enhanced Security Configuration You can do this in Server Manager > Local Server > Properties > IE Enhanced Security Configuration 1
solidus28 12 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I've been updating without issue until the last week, but I can confirm that disabling IE Enhanced Security Configuration did the trick for me. I'm also on Server 2012 R2. Thanks for posting this!
