I really think the concept of paid third-party-plugins, that are marketed through an official "in-app-store" is not a good thing for emby in the long run. 
Exactly when such things as above happen, people will in the last consequence always look at emby, not at the specific developer in question. 
In my opinion every plugin that is "marketed" through the in-app-plugin-store should be a) free and b) open-source with corresponding github-link (or some internal code-repository-system). 
So that the plugins can still be updated even if the main developer leaves the project and so we can also see what those plugins do in the code, when they come from third-parties. 
When looking at https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/136755-new-plugin-acdbtv-automated-collections/ my worries would be also that it gets tempting to outsource essential features to third-parties, here even with a subscription-based-model, and put aside in the internal-emby-development process, since there exists already a plugin...

Even if u have it. The plugin stop working what is should be have doing. So something else is going on. Or the plugin needs to be updated to the new structure

Emby team has already said this plugin causes issues with duplication of db items so no one should duplicate it.  They said they would allow pinning of collections to the home page like plex does. That would resolve the issue but that’s been coming soon tm for a few years now.

Yes so no one can make a better version and solve the database duplication for this? Cmon Emby been years. There could be a section where we can customize our content ourselves!! For the home screen. Oe filter movies top 10 latest releases

How can we fix the broken systems of Emby. It’s how Emby is designed….

You have two choices : 

Downgrade to a version where the plugin is functional and install it manually with the DLL file.

Accept that the service has been discontinued and you will not get a refund, at least if the plugin owner wants it.

You can try to install the plugin with the newest Emby build, but you will probably have some issues with it.

How would i install on current emby server is there a manual installation of the plug in? Or the only option is to downgrade the server??, and about the refund im not looking for a refund, just really like the idea of top picks since is almost like netflix

Using latest Emby beta 4.10.0.1 and clicking on a letter to select a movie just scrolls u to the top of the page. Plugin version 1.0.0.63.

Actually reading up it looks like it is no longer supported which is quite unfortunate.
