I Dm him 2 months now, I know he's super busy and have a life but for that reason I think he should just make the plugin free and have us donate.

Youre seriously worrying about 3$ lol? I think this is why most people give up on plugins for this community. If there is an issue report it to @Luketo have it pulled from the store so people don't keep buying it then.

It's not about 3$, it's about a missing mechanism that works automated, even when @chefis busy with other stuff. Paid twice in meantime, also with corrected Emby<->Paypal matching address and I don't care to support him as he's done so much nice stuff for Emby. Not sure why a developer would even be involved, they should just list plugin and that’s it. The rest seems like it should be handled via Emby systems since from what I know that’s tracking the stuff if not up to the developer to track who bought it.

ArdiSpleen 0 Posted February 1, 2025 Posted February 1, 2025 I just dmed the main developer "Chef" about this, but realised afterwards that the man hasn't been on here for a month, so I'll try my luck in this thread: I just paid for the top picks plugin, but after the payment via paypal was done it wouldnt redirect me to emby and it didn't activate the plugin for me. So now I have paid the money for it but it still says that my trial period is over. I have already restarted my server and reinstalled the plugin, but to no avail.

But there's several factors at play here that are more than concerning. The plugin's developer has personal issues which makes him be unavailable for a long period of time? I completely respect and sympathize with that, but maybe deactivate the payment procedure for the while being if you are unable to provide a service for it... The fact that the Emby team itself is seemingly ignoring and avoiding anything to do with this topic is also rather bizarre to me. I can't imagine a world where it's in their best interest for their users to essentially get ripped off on their platform. (and yes, no need to sugarcoat it - you pay for a service which you don't receive and the people responsible for it are fully aware of the situation, that's called getting ripped off) Everyone commenting that it's just 3 € are more than welcome to send me their money.

Sorry, I had not seen this conversation since it is within a 3rd-party support thread. The above is not really correct. It is up to developers of the plug-ins to manage their authorization. We just provide a mechanism to do so. When you purchase a 3rd party plug-in the money and transaction are directly with that 3rd party. Emby is not involved in that at all except that it registers the plugin with whatever email address is on the PayPal account that is used. If this email address is not the same as your Premiere key, then the registration will not work because there is no way to know the two should be related. Anyone who has purchased this plug-in with the wrong email address, please PM me and provide the email address that is attached to their Premiere key and I will take care of it. Thanks. 1

I love emby but my family members are complaining a lot on cuz there is no recommendation. I believe we need this functionality. I had that plugin installed and it was not working, I just uninstalled it and realized it is deleted from store.
