Yeah I've tried all three variants. Movies work great! TV..  not that great. Mixed.. I gave up on that. :)

hmmm works fine here... 2 things manually set, rest automatically. Can not really remember exactly the steps I took, I think I uninstalled the plugin, then deleted the folder, installed the plugin and the folder was again only movies, deleted the folder and then recreated it using mixed content... has been working for a few months now.

@chefa complete uninstall option might fix a few hickups (like my "failed" error after server restarts... the plugin should not remember the error when it was uninstalled a few times in the past two years :D).

As I have just received another 2 like, I wanted to ask if these two options have already been added. I haven't installed the addon for a long time and am currently considering whether I should install it again.

Many thanks for the great addon and keep up the good work!

I'll have to look at the code again to see if any of this is possible. Thanks

Heyo! I tried the trial for Top Picks a while back, decided to try and reinstall and am getting nothing showing up on my front page. I paid directly to the paypal on three separate occasions. I'm thinking it's an issue with my paypal email being different from my emby account email. Is there way to fix this? (Not looking for a refund but would like it to work)

using plugin for first time over last couple of days.  i set my own pinned media in lieu of using the auto generated ones.

with only a 9 item limit im having hard time understanding why the scan is taking an hour and half to complete each time i change something.

I have a large library and even those scheduled scan take 40 mins on a bad day.

what am i doing wrong?

Thanks

Can I see a log. It could be creating thumbs. But, an hour and a half does seem excessive.

Can you click cancel, and then remove the item that no longer exists in the library from the top pick list?

Okay. Could you add items to the list, and see if that stops the alert

In the meantime I will look into how that is happening on fresh installs.

.thanks

Are you able to click the 'OK' button to remove the alert message, then access the UI to add an item to the list?

Okay.

Can you enter the 'plugins' folder, and find the 'configuration' folder. Then remove the Top Picks.xml file?

Can you pm me the email you purchased emby with?

The email from your plugin payment and the one you purchased emby with probabaly don't match.

I can get it fixed for you.

Define "large library" .... I got about a million of items in my library stored on rust with a max. read speed of about 250MB/s and a fast regular scan takes under 3 minutes. TopPicks adds about a minute or two. Even if you are just connected with 1GBit/s to a storage you still should be at around 6 Minutes per million :D

We iterate the collection, but we run a library scan at the end to pick up the changes.

Thing is, if we do a fast scan, then items will be out of order because we use the time the item is added to the collection inorder to place them 1 through 9.

If I use a threaded async loop there, it will come back when ever... 🤷.

I'll have to look at how we can better handle large libraries with the iterator.

I'll get back to you.

Thats why I asked about the library size, TopPicks at my size adds a minute or two, but 40 minutes for a standard scan sounds already excessive.

Is the excessive scan the one that top picks initiates?

Thank you for your time and feedback woenk. I haven't been around much in the last year because life has side tracked me.

But, I am here to fix issues.

Sounds like he’s complaining because it needs the library scan. Idk what your plug-in does per say but is that needed for a “channel” that is what you made right?

It's not a channel, it creates an actual library.

I tried it with a channel but the end result wasn't that great.

I think there is a way to only scan that library.

I need to refresh my self with API to remember.

I'll get back.

erhh... I am not complaining :D I was just wondering how big Cr8iveLosr library is, that a standard scan is taking 40 minutes . At my size in the worst time it may have taken 15 minutes, defragmenting the disks ( really funny how one can forget those things when using SSDs) took it down to 5 minutes and with the optimizations of the last couple updates my best time was around 2,5 minutes. If I look at my times, I find them really neglectable image.png.48e63f86302292cc8e5f9be48682d352.png

and "real life" is allways more importent than some cheap plugin that gives a bit of conveniance @chef :D Plugin is working fine for most of us, some hickups are to be expected because of different setups.

Oh yeah no worries.

I think i'm on to something. Ive got some new code to test.

I'm not sure what the outcome is though.
