I have lifetime premiere but chef will sort it out if it didn't get linked to your monthly sub.

So it's up to him if he has the time or the motivation to update the plugin. I'm hoping he will, it's a great plugin! 1 1

Allways said something like a compilation would be nice....having those double entries in the database was a bit annoying and most of the thread is about how the initial design decision of the plugin caused issues. Still do not think the .strm way is the correct one....the database is there, do something with that, no need to create something else.

Yeah probably, chef went for presentation on the home screen and he did a great job with what he had to work with. Sure it has some draw backs (double lib entries) but it looked great! Hopefully now playlists are getting some upgrades it could be time to make a "top picks" playlist and share that across the board. Still not as good looking as chef's plugin but there is hope that the devs will work more on playlists features into the future. 1

The fundamental issue with the way Top picks, or any duplication of the item via a strm, new unique id etc, is this goes against the emby dev recommendations and thus is not 'supported'. From a presentation point of view, the actual 'view' of each icon is just using Googles SkiaSharp (the same one used for Cover Art 4 Plugin) - we (chef,cheesegeezer and I) went through a few iterations on the design to make it stand out from the crowd but chef did all the magic on making it stick. But all we really need is a 'highlight/top pick' type metadata flag which can be activated by the users (and is not just a favorite..) - and we could have something in the Core - which highlights an item or puts it into a top row library etc. Fingers crossed now 4.8 is out - this, or items related to it - are top of the to do list - as imo, this is sorely missing from emby and is the #1 item asked by all my users - why can't I select an item to watch later and see that in a 'watch later' row ? The first post is from 2022, so not likely, as we're in 2024 now. That means you can start checking the posts from 2024, which would probably be this page and maybe the previous page or two before you'd run across a post mentioning this. A quick edit here: The plugin is not broken. It works fine with the 4.7 release, which is what is was written for. It's just incompatible with the latest server version. Since 4.8 stable had tons of changes and it was released only a few days ago, plugin developers need some time to make changes to their plugins so these are compatible with the latest version. This is a normal process (from trillion dollar companies to hobbyists, every software developer in history has had to deal with this) and takes time. If not having this plugin is a deal-breaker, you can always go back to 4.7 (which means a rebuild, yes, I'm aware), however, saying this should have been done already because it's a paid plugin, is unrealistic, especially since there hasn't been anyone who has forced you to upgrade to this version. The plugin still shows up and you can click to install and click to pay for it. I paid first via paypal, and then installed the plugin as I had used this before. So, a note to emby Team. Atleast someone make a note before others decide to pay for it to not get anything. Im not moaning about the $3. Its just not good service for emby to have a plugin avaiable that you pay for that doesnt work. 1 2

If you can't lift up your fingers and say the simple thing as you said, you have the problem not me. 2nd: I read it that comment but it's from 11 Jan do you know what day we have today? 05 Feb. As developer he has the beta versions many time ago to test his plugin. I thought i'm missing something here because of that lack, but now i know it's just huge delay. 3rd: Iam web dev too so i know about schejoules and deadlines for my projects and if mine have any problem i pin a notice on first post or on read on my project for inform anyone and i'm not dissapiar for almost a month. I don't have so big problem with the deley (and I could have...) but from the management of the situation and information on behalf of chief. 1
