my library was out of order at homescreen , rescan many times but still persist . but sorting by Date Added is fine under top picks library..

If you remove the show "Projek high council" from top picks, and run the refresh task, does everything fall in line?

 

EDIT: nevermind the providers gave us one. I'm just seeing it now.

I see what's happening. 

While the Top Picks task was running, realtime monitoring added the Conjuring, which caused the library scan to kick off.

This apparently stops Top Picks from properly adding items in order.

Which means, we have to stop top picks form running it's task if the  library scan is running.

Let me see if I can finagle a fix here.

 

Also, what is "MediaInfo" task? and what is "Auto Movie Version"?

That should be Dave's plugin for extra stream details (that core doesn't display):

That should be MikePlanet's auto-grouping plugin, also updated by Dave (a busy chap, that one, ain't he? ).

for the sake of testing, i removed "Projek High Council" and the order still not-in-order

 

EDIT: this is the cleanest log of movie-type top picks that crashed my server. I can't see anything useful here..

Yes, we don't run if library scan is currently running. But that time library scan ran during our task. 

I'm going to remove the task call for the library scan.

Once the top picks task has completed, we'll have to run a library scan manually.

Like how cover-art does it.

Might not be related, but I noticed some real high CPU usage after I installed the latest Ubuntu updates.

First thought it was TopPicks but even after uninstalling it a Scan Media Library still causes high CPU usage.

Some lower end servers might crash because of that.

some interesting thing i found

• if library out of order, rescan library nor reupdate top-picks will not fix  the order.
• to get correct order for all in top-picks library again:

1. Need to manually delete top-picks data on data folder
2. Perform library scan to empty top-picks library content. Need to ensure the library is empty before proceed.
3. Re-Update Top-picks . this will get library order sorted out (for my case).

 I'll post one today. Those series images will most likely be black backgrounds with white text.

For some reason the providers aren't sending back the images we want for them.

How exactly do you mean this? Actually all users have the same top picks, they aren't different for each user

Just a request...its possible change name of library or what appears in the emby home 

Pheraps i wrong but is not possible insert single movies included in "Top Picks" in the order of home page, but appears only on botton of home screen

and last...when change movies in Top Picks i need to update in manual mode library, there is possibility that this happened in automatic mode ?
