I had to take some time to work on this...

I've seen reports of custom thumb images not being rendered because of missing images from both the internal folder structure of the library, and also the images not be available from the providers.

This is on the radar to fix, but I'm  unsure if I should just alert the user that the custom image can't be made, or attempt to create some kind of default image (which probably won't look very good ).

Can you check to see if all images are available before you start ?  Any that are missing just get removed from the list.. with a suitable log as to why of course ..    i think that would be a better solution ?

 I think that is a good idea. I know that someone is going to post and ask why certain items won't stay in the list. 

But at least there is a reason, and it isn't because of a bug.

Can you fallback on the thumbnail image if its available before excluding something?

Actually on a samsung tv, top-picks aren't sorted and it would be cool if you could ether add a way to sort them or sort them per deault.

i have the same problem with that as my tv layouts are all in horizontal mode

But that is normal top to bottom sorting in Horizontal mode.  Every row view is that way as you cannot have right to left per row.

Will be close to the same as you putting the web client or ET in TV/Horizontal mode.

Does the library item has a backdrop, and a logo available?

not sure which B&B it is but they are both properly formed

maybe related but the movie list in the config never loads for me. it has since you removed the alpha picker but not anymore. probably about 15k of movies to be listed

Quite possibly. That’s a shit tonne of movies and if you have version enabled, potentially 30k with 2 versions. Might be a memory overload.

i keep mine to about 3k of movies and tvshows and have a monthly clear out. Bit like the first visit to to throne after a good strong coffee in the morning hehe

I'm going to add back the alpha picker.

But it's going to take me some time to make it all work again. 

I've got to fix auto organize, top picks and disk space is showing problems.

 

But, I am on it. Top picks is top priority!

it did load eventually.

i don't think this is working properly though, if i understand it properly.

i see media items from mixed content libraries which are "movies" but are not from the "Movies" library

btw disk space is working fine for me
