Luke 42077 Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 Try turning off the episode intro detection feature. That is almost assuredly the reason for your long scan times. It's not stuck. The intro detection just takes a long time.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 @Luke Would something like the Arch Linux ffmpeg apply here to not use host ffmpeg?

I run it but I don’t have it running right now and the scanning is still taking forever. Even when I manually try to refresh from meta-data for a particular two or three movies that haven’t been scanned in yet they still don’t ever show up. Like I’ve got movies that have not been scanned in and they just have been sitting there for days.

80srule 33 Posted October 20, 2022 Author Posted October 20, 2022 (edited) ok it was set but I turned it off completely and I still only moved .1% in 12 hours. I dont get it there is not much left and its mostly movies. Sorry I hate complaining. I like things to work. And if I am messing something up then I want to know just the same if its the software. I do want to say the intro detection is better then plex. There are several shows I have plex would leave off before the end OR would miss the intro completely especially on classic series. So thanks for that. Love the themes too. Edited October 20, 2022 by 80srule

Luke 42077 Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 I see you enabled MovieDb metadata for episodes. This will cause scans to take longer because we have to query MovieDb one at a time for every episode, whereas with tvdb we can get it all in bulk for the entire series.

OK I removed that for TV series. I assume its fine for movies just not TV series?

80srule 33 Posted October 21, 2022 Author Posted October 21, 2022 It finally finished. Thank you so much. At least we have the .net framework updated even if I can not do the docker right now 1
