today I noticed someone from Australia tried to access my server.

and a few days ago some other country

is there a way to block all incoming ips except when I approve them.

how does the API key work?

Out of interest, how did you track that? I've never checked before.

The "recent activity" section of the dashboard gives them away.

Rebot your modem, this should allow your isp to assign a new ip address (this is dependent on having a dynamic ip, not static setup on your modem).

After I upload the log file, I always reboot the modem so a new ip is assigned.

Alternatively, have a very, very strong password. Just my thoughts.

If you truly want to drop connections from certain locations you need to do so at your router ... depending on the type of router you have. If you have specific country domains you want to block you can set your home router to deny access to those locations regardless of who initiated the traffic.

Well, not helping you in restricting access, but maybe you should remove the link to your server from this thread: http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/10787-clients-repeatedly-unable-to-stream-videos-over-the-internet/

I'll bet you a lot off your visitors are actually visitors of this forum as well. I'm 100% sure you'll see some visitor from Holland too ;)

I went before and tried to edit that post but wouldn't let me but I got it this time.

now how does the API work?
