dougw03 16 Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 I am running DSM7.1.1-42692 update 1 to host my Emby Server and I also recently updated to v4.7.8.0. I have been unable to play files recently and it appears I am having transcoding issues (I'll troubleshoot why I am transcoding later). I checked my logs and it appears FFMPEG is showing permission denied errors (see attached). I found this thread and tried the recommendation from glastis but get an error "find: `/home/user/emby_media': No such file or directory." I have been using DSM7 for many months now and did the DSM6 to 7 update. I'm wondering if updating to the latest DSM and/or Emby Server broke a permission somewhere? ffmpeg-transcode-2f9923bc-b4c2-425f-a2dd-7f436b360937_1.txt
dougw03 16 Posted October 15, 2022 Author Posted October 15, 2022 Yes I should've mentioned that I confirmed permissions are valid.
Luke 42078 Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Did you check down to the file level though? You could have folders or files at any level overriding that.
dougw03 16 Posted October 15, 2022 Author Posted October 15, 2022 Hmm so it seems that the SABNZBD DSM user is taking ownership of any new post processed folder it creates. As such it does not provide read/write access to the Emby DSM user for every new folder it creates by default. It has never done this before...
