Watching livetv shows while being recorded has pause/resume issues

When trying to watch a liveTV show that is being recorded, if I try and pause the show, go to any other screen and then try and go back it will start at the beginning/  It will not resume from where it was before.  This works in androidTV app

In general, seeking or jumping to a resume point during playback of a live recording is not supported on some platforms. From my experience, LG TV is one example of these  

Unless the content is being transcoded then I don’t know if this is supported on many platforms.
