Ubuntu based emby server looking to display pictures

I have emby server version 4.7.8.0 running on a ubuntu machine. I am trying to set up a photo section. I created the folder to use added it as a library, but emby does not seem to detect any pictures in this folder.

the folder path is /media/emby/Pictures and i have everything in sub folders from there for organization.

Does emby only support certain file formats for pictures?

Never mind, i am just impatient it seems. I manually ran a scan and it finished realy fast and still displayed nothing. 10 minutes later stuff is populating.
