Emby Connect and Domain Name Change

Hey all

Just wanted to see if there is any impact on EMBY Connect when changing the domain name.

Setup is, cloud hosted on my server, domain pointing to my SWAG Proxy Docker and then Swag forwarding to emby. No access to the server at all except through port 443.

If i change my domain name (also updating swag to get new certs ofr the new domain and Emby Networking settings to the new FQDN) Will Emby connect update eventually and the users able to connect as if nothing happened (i.e no need to login again if selected remember me etc). Does Emby connect use the Domain name and port or does it use the static IP and port?

Hi.  It is going to use whatever address is shown as the WAN address on your server dashboard.  So, as long as you configure that correctly (network tab) then it should work.  There may be a delay but the apps should get the new address.
