Music Naming and Album issues

Guys, I need a little help.  This is my first post to the forum.  I have been a long time Emby user for movies but just decided to add my music as well.  I am having issues with Emby creating multiple albums for each artist when I have compilation CDs.  What's really odd is that it seems to work for some compilation CDs but not others.  I have tried many different methods to resolve it for the ones that don't work based on the Support forum and none of the naming conventions seem to work.  I want to have 1 album show up in Emby with all of the tracks in that album from multiple artists.  Instead, I get 12 albums, all with identical artwork, broken out into each one album for each artist.  These are the naming conventions I have tried:

1) Album name\artist name\song name

2) Album name\song name (with artist embedded in the song name, i.e. "01-Raymond Fairchild - Cripple Creek.mp3"

3) Compilations\Album name\Artist Name\Song Name

4) Artist Name\Album name\Song name

I even tried removing the artist name completely from everything so...

5) Album name\song name (with no embedded artist).

I found the album in Musicbrainz too but nothing I have tried will compile these songs into 1 album in Emby.  It appears to work for some compilation albums but not others and I can't figure out why since the naming conventions I have used worked in other scenarios.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thank you so much for the prompt reply, Luke.  I did see that section about "tagging" but to be honest, I didn't really understand it.  It says:

Please make sure to write all tag version or to remove old tags. All tags should be written using unicode format.

Tagging your albums and tracks should be straightforward with the possible exception of various artist or compilation albums.

Unfortunately I don't know what it means to "write all tag version" or "remove old tags."  I also don't know what "unicode format" is or how to write a tag in unicode.  Is there somewhere I can go to learn what "writing all tag version" means or how to do so in Unicode format?

Again, massive thanks for the help here.

I just went to mp3Tag and downloaded the software and am reading that information and instructions so maybe that will solve my problem.  Thank you, Luke.
