LiveTV gone after updating 4.7.6 to 4.7.8

Hi there,

im running emby on debian 11.5.

Everything (yes really everything) ran fantastic until today.

i made an update from 4.7.6 to 4.7.8 by installing the deb using dpkg.

after the update everything works fine except livetv.

im using the vu+ plugin for this but both tiles (livetv and vu+ recording) disapeared from the start-screen.

i could reconfigure that vu+ recording is shown again (the picture which was assigned to it is gone though) and watching the recorded files from the vu+ works fine.

But how to get the livetv tile back, so that i can watch tv again ?

Hi, did you check your user permissions to ensure your emby user is granted access to live tv?

My user is the admin and every box is checked (except the suspend this user)

i did not change anything except doing that update

but messages say: addicted has become updated but vu+ has become installed. it has been installed before as well, so this message should be has been updated too. (dont know if this is important or not)

Find enclosed the logfiles created around the update

I hate updates.

i found what was changed.

this plugin is not to be configured by its own any longer, now the settings have to be done in livetv setting.

after removing - restarting - installing again - rebooting - adding vu-plus to the livetv section in settings and configuring it there now it works again.

maybe you should rethink distributing updates including bigger changes which has to be fixed by hand afterwards

 

NEXT Bug: I can NOT stream all channels anymore. After installing the update 4.7.8 and PLugin version 3.2.9.0 streaming is not predictable anymore

some channel can be streamed, some cant.

some work on android client but not on webbrowser client

For instance: ARD HD ( mayor channel in germany) can be streamed on androind but not on webbrowser. ANother channel (ZDF HD) works on both and some other channel does not work on none of the clients i tested

Hi, this was already in 4.7.6, just FYI. It was a change when going from 4.6. to 4.7.
