Landoman 20 Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Move: Blonde. IMDB: 5.7 Screen shows: red star: 7.8, Tomato: 87% Trakt: 61% Rotten Tomatoes: Tomatometer 44% Audience 32% TMDB: 68% OMDB: Empty So where is it getting the 7.8 and 87% values? Metadata set to: OMDB TheMovieDB Ive refreshed it and its still comes up with those values. Do i have to wait for OMDB to update its values?
Luke 42085 Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Quote red star: 7.8 In your library options, what movie metadata fetchers are enabled, and in what order? Quote Tomato: 87% This comes from Omdb.
Landoman 20 Posted October 2, 2022 Author Posted October 2, 2022 (edited) Metadata set to: OMDB TheMovieDB https://www.omdb.org/en/us/movie/33124-blonde where is it gettign 87 from? Edited October 2, 2022 by Landoman
Luke 42085 Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 So then in that case both values come from Omdb.
Landoman 20 Posted October 2, 2022 Author Posted October 2, 2022 I cant see where its getting the values from as the OMDB Page has no rating.. unless i am missing where it is?
Luke 42085 Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 I would compare to this instead: https://www.omdbapi.com/
Landoman 20 Posted October 2, 2022 Author Posted October 2, 2022 I see. There is a lot of delay between these providers and imdb/rotten tomatoes. Is there anyway of getting the data faster? I suppose not as you have to get it from OMDB correct? Are tehre external programs to update the metdata directly from IMDB /RT?
Luke 42085 Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Quote Are tehre external programs to update the metdata directly from IMDB /RT? That will create nfo files...I'm sure there are, but I haven't tried any myself.

If there are I imagine, they are pricy or doing it illegally as IMDB wants $50,000 a year for ratings along and believe RT is about the same for what I hear.
Landoman 20 Posted October 2, 2022 Author Posted October 2, 2022 I think the main problem here is that people want up to date ratings for the new movies. Older movies ratings can be gotten from OMDB as they are largely correct.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 New movies are skewed for the first few days or so as vote systems adjust their values. So for sites that provide free data it is a matter of when they got that data and how often it gets updated.
Landoman 20 Posted October 3, 2022 Author Posted October 3, 2022 (edited) Just a pain when i can just go to IMDB and look at the rating but it take a week (or more)for it to update to the metadata on OMDB. IMDB Scout mod may be useful for some as it collates a lot of ratings on IMDB. Edited October 3, 2022 by Landoman
