MrChomyn 1 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 I have been having the same issue and it's been extremely frustrating. I even created a "second library" with one artist and albums all listed perfectly with the music in each album. It does pick up the artist but all the "Albums" are blank with no cover art at all. I have tried refreshing and restarting multiple times using both Audio DB and Music Brainz and both don't work. I have zero issues with Movies and TV Shows cover art which works perfectly fine.
Luke 42079 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 HI there @MrChomyn can you please provide a specific example? Thanks !
Happy2Play 9780 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Along with an example please provide library settings.
MrChomyn 1 Posted September 29, 2022 Author Posted September 29, 2022 I have tried with both TheAudioDB and/or MusicBrainz. I have tried the default settings and customer settings not using NFO. I have tried Refreshing the Metadata / Scanning the Library multiple times, but it is not as easy or fluid as scanning TV and Movies. I have had a little bit of success when I can manually "Identify" individual Artists and Albums one by one, but looking for something that would scan them all in easier. I am using a test library with one or two artists with a few albums and it is still not scanning it. I have to manually "Identify" them to get them to match. Most of them show as blank with no cover art at all. I have used Other/Unorganized and Sorted Perfectly and it does not seem to make a difference. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It won't be as fluid as TV/Movies as Music depends on embedded metadata, so specific examples are need. What info is embedded? What is the folder structure? Show library settings. MrChomyn 1 Posted September 29, 2022 Author Posted September 29, 2022 Using Ubuntu Server media folder for music /media/Music/ Added directory "Bryan Adams" with in that directory added Album "On A Day Like Today" the MP3s are listed in that directory. There is no embedded tags of any kind as I cleared them while troubleshooting. I am going to try using MusicBrainz Picard to autodetect and recreate Metadata and see how that works.
roaku 842 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 For music, it's best, maybe even necessary, to use a tool like MusicBrainz Picard to embed the album art and get all the metadata exactly right, then let Emby just scan the music files. 1
Happy2Play 9780 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Will need to see the server log for your example as you will be dependent on queries instead of files already having the data ids.
MrChomyn 1 Posted September 29, 2022 Author Posted September 29, 2022 I think I figured it out, it looks like my embedded tags were mucked up. Having the tagged restored updated correctly is allow Emby to show the correct artwork with Artists and Albums. Did a few test runs on a few albums and all looks good. Going to try and have my full music library updated and see how that works. Thanks for your help. 1
