dgrigo 35 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 (edited) Hello, Suddenly, the guide data list is empty on all mapped channels, you can check the log, but i don't see something wrong. removed tuner and guide, tried on local disk, tried from web server, nothing populates anymore. maybe you will be able to help me? i am stuck for solutions. I am attaching and livetv config, in case you need it Thanks embyserver.txt livetv.xml Edited September 28, 2022 by dgrigo livetv xml
dgrigo 35 Posted September 28, 2022 Author Posted September 28, 2022 I may have found something odd and related, i have a user bin uid 2 inside the configs, dunno how as i use 1000 for the environment variables, must have changed somehow with some installation. I will check what i can do, at least now I have a starting point, must be permission something.
dgrigo 35 Posted September 28, 2022 Author Posted September 28, 2022 (edited) nothing yet, but I found out that on gidlist must have your group, normaly 1000 (if you created a user) and 107,44 so gidlist env variable is 1000,107,44 the 107 and 44 are the video group and render group, will help those that have problems with nvapi or vapi for transcoding! my problem persist with new installation even after i added bin gid 2 to my gidlist to test it. Further inspection on new installations reveals, that i can no longer run the pod as my user, and whatever i do all files in config get replaced by bin uid 2, taking ownership. I think my problem is related to this, as this is new behavior for me on the installlation, i have other programs and they run as the user i want, for example qbittorent, normaly install with 576 if i recall right, but as i changed it runs as 1000, all config dir and files owned by uid 1000. I there any expert , to tell me how to run emby as another user? for example i see in qbittorent pre installation script this - name: pre-install-job image: "alpine:latest" command: - "chown" - "-R" - "{{ .Values.ownerUID }}:{{ .Values.ownerGID }}" - "{{ .Values.appVolumeMounts.config.mountPath }}" - "{{ .Values.appVolumeMounts.downloads.mountPath }} Nothing like this in emby scripts, anyone know if ownerUID is a variable? thanks Edited September 28, 2022 by dgrigo
dgrigo 35 Posted September 28, 2022 Author Posted September 28, 2022 (edited) hmm i see emby on docker updated recently? when my problem landed... what's changed? emby/embyserver By emby • Updated 2 days ago Official Emby Media Server (amd64) Btw, @Luke hello , i wonder if its possible to change the default port numbers above 9000, I use 9096 and 9920 and both running so nice. If we see more kubernetes on various systems, you just make your users life easier, and less support and frustration from it. My workaround works , but will break with updates possible, and I will have to re do it, don't care just suggesting. Thank you Edited September 28, 2022 by dgrigo
Q-Droid 989 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 I'd like to suggest that everyone include Truenas Scale in their post subjects, at least until a dedicated sub-forum can be created for it. Scale brings its own unique problems with its restrictions and limitations. And the solutions would not apply to general distros.
dgrigo 35 Posted September 28, 2022 Author Posted September 28, 2022 Ok its not a permission problem, used setuid and setgid and the owner is still uid 1000. That means i am out of ideas... Help
Luke 42078 Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Have you checked the channel management screen to ensure that tuner channels are mapped to epg channels? You may need to manually map some.
dgrigo 35 Posted September 29, 2022 Author Posted September 29, 2022 (edited) Ok, that is insulting Yeah mapped I have done many installations and always was making at least 1 channel while was testing various things . I have attached the livetv.xml on first post were you can see them. That happened suddenly btw. As I was watching 1 or 2 programs per day. As my default is guide screen , I noticed. Solution Luke 42078 Posted September 29, 2022 Solution Posted September 29, 2022 Have you checked the contents of your xml tv to ensure it has data for the channels, as well as checking the timestamps in the xml? A very common reason for this is the xml either not having program data or having old program data. 1
dgrigo 35 Posted September 29, 2022 Author Posted September 29, 2022 (edited) Ok you got me , my guy did't updated the web xml , so it stops at 20220924.. so dumb... Thank you Luke I send him alert on github, and he was aware, doing some changes and he will post it back. So he said .... I know and I'll fix it. I'll write some new code for all this Edited September 29, 2022 by dgrigo 1
