They might have both on their detail screen, yes, but the search screen appears to be based on the eastern title.

Try refreshing the metadata and see if that helps.

I tested it with another anime and it's no use, it's prioritizing the anidb metadata, and I just put the myanimelist code

but he prioritized the anidb metadata alone, I don't know why, being that in the library is myanimelist as first.

  

 

And if you go to see it, it's just looking for the title of another metadata, the image and synopsis comes from myanimelist, very strange that. Just need to solve this problem of searching for the wrong title.

I tried both to put only the myanimelist code, as well as to edit the metadata and just leave the myanimelist code, even removing the myanimelist code it goes there and fills in the anidb code by itself...

I don't think Title is working as my tests still uses folder name.

Only using Series metadata provider Myanimelist.

Um, no!  Emby already doesn't use IMDB metadata at all because of the huge amount they charge for it.

As for other anime people - I have a lot, and find that TVDB answers my needs better than any of the anime-specific providers have done - but that's just my experience, I guess.

but when it comes to OVA's and specials myanimelist is more complete, I can't see another more complete than myanimelist.

But you only get Series metadata/images from myanimelist, no episode or character/people.  So you are dependent on other providers to fill in the gaps and hope there is not provider mismatches.

I agree with PWHODGES.  I have over 15TB of anime on my server, and have no problems as I dealt with this issue quite some time ago (and stopped being a pain to Luke about it).  My stuff goes back to the 50's and 60's.

Well, I looked for some Special/OVAS in this TVDB and it doesn't exist, so I reinforce that myanimelist is good in this regard.
