Pommes 12 Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Hi, so i am currently redoing my emby installation, all the video files and metadata/images are saved on a nas which is mounted to the ubuntu vm running emby. (on /mnt/Netzwerk-Shares/Medien/) My normal user does have full access (read write change), i veryfied that i can write/change files from the normal ubuntu user. (so it shouldnt be a problem on the Nas side) But i noticed emby can only read not write (Error ProviderManager: UnauthorizedAccessException: Emby Server is being write access to /mnt/Netzwerk-Shares/Medien/Filme/The Big Short (2015)/poster.jpg. Please check your file permissions.) The network shares are mounted in fstab using (//medien.files.intra/ /mnt/Netzwerk-Shares/Medien cifs credentials=/root/pws,iocharset=utf8,gid=1000,uid=1000). How can i change permissions that emby can write to folders in mnt?
Pommes 12 Posted September 25, 2022 Author Posted September 25, 2022 Just now, Luke said: Hi, have you taken a look at this? yes, i kinda fixed it by changing the uid and guid in the fstab to the emby user 999 & 998 but thx 1
