pve78 3 Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 (edited) Hi, I'm running Ubuntu Server 22.04 and Docker. I have Emby deployed via Docker. A folder in the library: /home/john/emby/library/aio drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Sep 22 03:27 aio Another folder: drwxr-xr-x 2 john john 4096 Sep 22 03:27 movies Within the Emby library settings, I click on the + to add the folder, I cannot either manually specify the location nor can I use the browser feature. I'm sure it has something to do with permissions but am not sure where to start. Docker compose file: --- version: "2.1" services: emby: image: lscr.io/linuxserver/emby:latest container_name: emby environment: - PUID=1000 - PGID=1000 - TZ=America/New_York volumes: - /home/john/emby/library:/config - /home/john/emby/library/movies:/data/movies ports: - 8096:8096 - 8920:8920 #optional restart: unless-stopped PUID is the account john on the Ubuntu server. Luke 42078 Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 hi @pve78 what folder are you trying to enter into Emby library setup?
Solution pve78 3 Posted September 26, 2022 Author Solution Posted September 26, 2022 Luke, thank you for the reply. To answer this, I solved it- I was being thick headed. Nothing was wrong, I was looking at the server path and not the containerized path. Once I went to /data/movies it works just fine. 1
