So issue is the [] data is being scraped and messes up search. Is there a solution for this?

Thank you.

Emby's format for the id data is: [tvdbid=79173]; your format won't be recognised as the id value.  The year is expected to be in round brackets after the name (I'm not sure how flexible that might be).

The Year in brackets is not for anyone but folder sort structure. I changed the folder to [1985][tvdb=73543][{tvdb-73543}]The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo

Still wont work

Hi, what exactly does "still won't work" mean?

It does not identify the show right? it should do that automatically ? I changed it to this new format "[1985] The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo [tvdb=73543][{tvdb-73543}]"

So you are determined not to use a format that is compatible with Emby, then?  What result do you expect from doing that?

And note that your added [tvdb=73543] is still not the same as Emby's format: [tvdbid=73543].

I think these are new conventions recently added by Plex, right? They're something we can look at supporting. We just don't currently.

As you can see the bracketed is actually ignored in the query which I would expect personally.  So the wrong The Scrooges is found.

So we need to see server logs also to see the queries being made against your naming scheme.

I would look long and hard before I copied anything Plex does. Plex is a horrible model to use if you want to be customer friendly.

I know you want to have features that people want but please, do not let Plex drive your development except to act as a model as to what not to do.
