Help: Emby doesn't remember multiple IP server addresses

Hi,

I need to know if there is a way to make the Emby iOS app remember 2 IP addresses as my servers so that I can switch between them? I am currently using Emby on LAN and remotely connect to it via ZeroTier tunnel VPN. The VPN gives me a different IP for my Emby node, and I have to manually configure the same after waiting for the iOS app to search and fail to find a server. ( It would still keep searching on my LAN IP ). The same happens in reverse when I am back on the LAN and my Emby app was last used with the ZeroTier VPN tunnel.

I am on:
Emby Server 4.7.6.0
iOS 16 and 15.7 have the same issue
Latest iOS Emby app

Hi, the app does this already using the local and remote addresses that are displayed on the front page of your emby server dashboard.

When the device network connection changes the app gets notified and then goes through the process of figuring out which address to use.

Hi @Luke,

Yes, what you said is true. But my ISP double NATs my connection and my external IP and router IP are different. Hence, I rely on tunneling to my server (probably safer and easier to setup). The IP displayed on Emby Dashboard is
1. My localhost and
2. An IP that the external world sees me as.

The IP on my router is different and the ZeroTier IP is different. I have tried putting in all different kind of IPs into the "Remote IP address filter" in the server network section but with no luck. I had an Android before this and I feel it worked OK with that. I feel maybe this is an iOS app thing?  Just realized as I am writing this. Will look for an Android device and try it out.

Will keep you posted.

Why? That is a filter. That is only going to further restrict, not open up.
