stephen_hill 46 Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 I'm no expert, but looking at the logs, Emby does test the capabilities of both of your GPU's and chose to use the intel one. Your Nvidia GPU has only the 1st generation of Nvidia NVENC, where as your Intel GPU has the 4th generation of Intel Quick Sync Video. https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Nvidia_NVENC https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Intel_Quick_Sync_Video I'm not 100%, but it appear that your Intel GPU is a more capable video decoder/encoder than your Geforce. For modern video codecs, your probably need atleast a 4th Gen NVENC capable card or 7th Gen Intel CPU.
Solution softworkz 5073 Posted September 22, 2022 Solution Posted September 22, 2022 @RSuace - I'm afraid, but your hardware is too old and is not supported. Regarding Nvidia, you have Kepler, but Maxwell is the first gen to support HWA. Please see here: https://developer.nvidia.com/video-encode-and-decode-gpu-support-matrix-new And your the Intel integrated GPU is Haswell, but Broadwell is the first gen to support HWA. https://github.com/Intel-Media-SDK/MediaSDK#media-sdk-support-matrix So, for both you have one generation before the one which is supported.
