I downloaded 2 movies to my iPad about 2 weeks ago in preparation for a trip and I checked this morning and the movies are not in my Downloads any longer. Luckily I have not left yet so I can re-download them. Also curious if Emby removes downloaded content after a period of time, or, did an app update maybe wipe the internal storage where the movies are kept?

When I download a file to the iphone, I can't see it in the "Download section" of the app. I have the issue for a long time (around 1 year) and I guess several ios / emby version. I have lifetime premiere. I didn't have the same issue on android. Basically what I have right now is roughly 20 music files downloaded to the iphone, but the interface only shows one music in a "Music" directory - instead of the 20. However: - if I click on the play button, it will indeed play a playlist composed of the 20 music, even if only one file / music is visible in the interface. - if I go to the "manage download" section, I can see all the downloaded files. Therefore, the files are indeed inside iphone memory, it is just not convenient because I can't just select one particular music to play, I have to launch all of these then skip one by one until it's playing the one I want to listen. If I remember well, I don't think I have similar issue when downloading video files. Thanks!
ciisubstance 4 Posted May 12, 2023 Posted May 12, 2023 On vacation, leaving for 12 hour car ride, used multiple seasons of Daniel Tiger to keep the trip….bearable, as well as some other movies. Leaving now and everything is gone. iPad 10th gen emby client. Really disappointed, not going to be an enjoyable trip. No idea why the downloads are gone, certainly didn’t delete ALL my downloaded content, didn’t even use the iPad since the trip to vacation.

MKH42 2 Posted June 17, 2023 Posted June 17, 2023 (edited) Maybe this can help to fix and solve, because I had the same issue. My iPhone's name is not "iPhone" it is "iPhone My". After a while not using Emby on my iPhone I didn't find anything in my download folder. I delete emby from my iPhone and installed it again. After successfull login, I tried do download content. But in the menu for downloading to there is only "iPhone" available. In the past there was "iPhone My" there. Downloading ... and nothing to see .. (Waiting more than 24 h to be sure the download was finished) After renaming my iPhone (Settings -> Info -> Name) from "iPhone My" to "iPhone" all new downloaded content is available. _NoName_ 2 Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 I am also experiencing this issue. Downloaded content to an iPad running the current version from the App Store. Verified that it was available in Downloads. When in airplane mode, I select "Downloads" from the server selection screen. Once there, I can navigate to the screen that shows the TV series. When a series is selected, the app says "Content not available."

The Regular user account, can not delete movies downloaded to the ipad. The trashcan icon is not there to remove the files. So once the movies are on the device, they are just stuck there.
