Can the Amazon Fire Tablet version be fixed?

Bought my kids the Fire HD 8 Pro Kids tablet and I can't install Emby, I found that I also cannot install it on my Fire HD10 as well.

I've never installed it via app store because I have Google services installed but A, they don't need that, B, I tried just doing on admin profile and "something went wrong" - so now I can't install Emby on my kids' tablets.
