Domain name, app and SSL

Hey!

I've been trying to figure out how to setup my server using my domain name. I got the domain name to work on the browser, but not in emby theater.

After some looking around I found this topic on the forums: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/92846-domain-name-problems/

Which takes up most of what my issues are. But then the post was resolved behind the scenes without saying anything on how it was resolved.

I also use GoDaddy as domain provider. Got the server to display remote wan access as my.domain.com:8096. SSL I've been trying a bit to figure out how to setup. But the free providers I've tried (ZeroSSL, Cluodflare and Let'sEncrypt) don't seem to give the option to give me an SSL in the PKCS#12 format. Closest I've seen was the PKCS#7. I think that was Cloudflare.

On all of the above SSL cert givers I've yet to find anything about getting the SSL in PKCS#12 format or any guide on how to setup an Emby server SSL. Yet another topic on this forum only gives broken links (https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/75471-step-by-step-for-ssl/)

The knowledge part where you have a guideusing Let'sEncrypt I can't make sense of. From what I saw on their website you need to use their "certbot". Which don't see Emby as a website to give a certification to. Is there something I'm missing? Have they updated their way of making it work "easier" (for normal websites)? Maybe we need an update on the Emby knowledge base.

Maybe I've missed something that explains all of this. Just point me in the right direction if that's the case :)

Thanks in advance.

I am using openssl to create the pfx file.

openssl pkcs12 -export -out /certs/emby_ssl.pfx -inkey /etc/letsencrypt/live/domain/privkey.pem -in /etc/letsencrypt/live/domain/fullchain.pem -keypbe NONE -certpbe NONE -nomaciter -passout pass:

Sorry for late answer. Busy days :)

I see! That explains how to get the pkcs12. But how do I go about to use Let's Encrypt without with Emby server? I can't seem to find the Emby server using cerbot. Is there any other way to use Let's encrypt?

Do you know how to get the app to find the Domain name I'm using? Is this a server setup or domain dns setup where I've missed something?
