chowbok 132 Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Can no-longer-existing countries be added to the metadata choices? I'd like to be able to accurately tag, say, pre-1991 Soviet films. 1 1
Luke 42077 Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 Hi, does MovieDb send back these values?
chowbok 132 Posted September 12, 2022 Author Posted September 12, 2022 Not sure how I would determine that.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 You have any specific examples? Wouldn't this break the coded MPAA values as country is linked to returned Parental Rating?

Well, for instance, Battleship Potemkin was released in the Soviet Union. Closely Watched Trains was from Czechoslovakia. 6 minutes ago, Happy2Play said: Wouldn't this break the coded MPAA values as country is linked to returned Parental Rating? Well, I doubt it, because you already have hundreds of countries in the dropdown, including some pretty obscure ones. I'd be really surprised if anyone had the parental ratings for, say, Burkina Faso.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 (edited) Dev will have to comment but Country of Origin is already recorded but not really used or visible in Emby and has nothing to do with Metadata Country. This does answer @Luke's question, but looks broken Battleship Potemkin (TMDB api) Edited September 12, 2022 by Happy2Play 1
SmileFlower 21 Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 This is very good. It is equivalent to manually specifying a country/region classification for precise screening
