adrian830512 0 Posted September 10, 2022 Posted September 10, 2022 Hi, I'm using a x86 Centos 8 for hosting Emby Server. When creating a media library with a shared folder in my NAS, it seems there're two different ways. 1. Mount the NAS folder to Centos then in Emby just as a local folder 2. Connect via network folder in Emby I wonder whether there will be any difference (e.g. performance, functionality etc.)? for now, I'm mounting the folder and select it in Emby but the library will not be automatically refreshed when new media fire added in the folder (it works well with the local folder in Centos). if I would connect directly via network folder when creating media library, it says I need to grant permissions to Emby system user. Any instructions on how I should do that? e.g. what is the emby system user? how should I grant the permission in NAS?
Luke 42078 Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Hi, I would suggest direct access if possible. I would get that working first.
