Best setting of Database cache size

I set my Database cache size at 1024.

My QNAP is model TS-451D2 4 bay Nas with 4GB memory... the setting is good to have more performance os i can also arrive to 2048 ?

Or to arrive 2048 i need upgrade memory until 6/8 GB ???

Hi, if the device only has 4gb memory then I think allowing half of that for the emby server database cache seems like a bit too much.

Others will have to comment but with a database that small 256 I would say is optimal.  Thought it was mentioned somewhere 1.5 to 2 times database size.

Depends on what else you use the nas for, but probably not, no.

it's almost exclusively an emby server lol if that's the case, would 2048 seem excessive?

roughly 8500 movies, and about 45,000 episodes. 

edit: i'm dumb, my library.db is about 450MB

2048 is a little overkill as I believe 1 to 1.5 times the DB was recommended back when this was added.  But shouldn't be an issue.
