SilentDis 4 Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 (edited) Got a show that I had a horrible copy of. I have a new copy, and told Emby to delete the current version, and dropped the new version on the server. It's set to scan the folder automatically, but I triggered a re-scan of the whole server anyway, just so it would see it and pick it up. It did not. Odd, I thought, so I kicked off a Vacuum of the database, and rebooted the server. Back up, I re-triggered the scan again. Emby is insistent in ignoring that replaced show folder. What am i doing wrong? System: Ubuntu 22.04 CT under Proxmox Plenty of resources Files are under a bind mount, permissions set properly (it can get to everything else, and the perms are the same on this folder) Edited September 5, 2022 by SilentDis Added system info

I'm... unsure how to show you something that's not there, heh. Still, I went down a rabbit hole of "hey, maybe it's permissions". Files/directories were all owned by root, as is normal, but they're set 666 as is normal (r/w, owner/group/public). On a wild hair, I set the owner/group to emby... and now Emby is all the sudden just fine with it, and is ingesting the files again fine. I'm gonna chalk it up to something, somewhere was mucked with permissions on those files, but I have no clue as to what at this point. Thanks for your time, sorry to trouble you! 1
