ScottyT 9 Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Hi, I have an ubuntu linux install running emby (emby-server/now 4.7.6.0 arm64) connecting to a cifs share mount on a QNAP. I can read and write to the folders from the linux shell but I'm not getting images and nfo saving to these folders . I have selected all the correct options I think, and the metadata and images show up in the clients, they just aren't saving to the folders as I would expect. I tried removing and readding the library again too. Does Emby realise the mount is remote and just save it locally or some such? (It was working fine when I had i installed directly on the Qnap, but an old model so transcoding is too slow) Thanks
Happy2Play 9780 Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Can you post a server log, but the odds are permissions. How to Report a Problem 1
Solution ScottyT 9 Posted September 5, 2022 Author Solution Posted September 5, 2022 Ah, yes, after looking at the server log I could see the permissions errors. I just had to change the linux mount parameters to mount as the emby linux user https://www.ceos3c.com/linux/mount-cifs-permission-denied-linux/#step-2-creating-a-mount-point Thanks 1
